Update on John’s condition

Most recently, he has been delayed in receiving his prosthetic due to swelling in the limb; however, we’re told the swelling is quite common with amputees. He has undergone surgery to repair his hearing, but unfortunately, is still suffering from considerable hearing loss. At the same time, he has been receiving laser surgery to remove the gunpowder tattooing (due to the explosion) from his face. This laser surgery is very similar to the procedure for removing a traditional tattoo by breaking up the ink particles and is extremely painful.

Though, on the brighter side, John and his wife will be traveling back to their home state of Idaho very soon to spend the holidays with the rest of their family and their grandchildren.

We will keep you posted as new information comes available. In the mean time, if you’d like to send a note of encouragement to John, please use our contact form.
